Why the evaluation comes first
Every Drupal site is different in the ways that matter to maintenance: how many contributed modules it carries, whether any of them are patched, how the theme was built, where it is hosted, and who else still has access. A plan quoted without knowing those things is a guess, and a guess is how maintenance work goes wrong.
The evaluation is how a recommendation becomes specific to your site rather than generic.
What happens after you submit
- Your answers are reviewed against what the site actually shows — the Drupal version, the module list, and how the site is deployed.
- You receive a plan recommendation explaining which tier fits and why, rather than a price with no reasoning attached.
- Nothing begins until you have agreed the plan and the required access has been verified.
What you will need to hand
- Where the site is hosted, and how you reach it.
- Which Drupal version it runs — Not sure is a perfectly good answer.
- Any problem you already know about: a stalled update, a slow page, an error you have learned to ignore.
If something on the form does not apply to your setup, say so and move on. Working out what a site actually needs is part of the job, not a prerequisite for asking.
